Protein!

Team – Keep up your endurance. You did great on ladders this week. Your core has improved a lot. Make sure to eat healthy as we approach longer and harder trainings for the race.

Are you eating the right portion of protein? Protein is a necessary nutrient for your body to have a strong immune system. Along with exercise protein builds muscle and helps repair muscle tissues faster. This potentially leads to less injury. The USDA's recommends that the portion of protein is.36 grams per pound of body weight. Eat healthy protein!

To calculate your protein intake feel free to use these equations:
Body Weight (BW)
1. .36 g x BW (lb) = Total Grams of Protein Intake per day OR
2. BW (lb) x .45 = BW(kg); BW (kg) x .8 = Total Grams of Protein Intake per day
