Take Your Measurements Challenge!

Don’t forget the Walk-It Challenge is this Sunday. Details found in the announcements section and Monday’s Blog.

Today I am going to brag about my friend Isa. I am so proud of her. She recently started her weight loss journey. She is now walking, cycling, weight lifting and running. Like most of us she would get discouraged with the numbers on the scale. So in January we started keeping track of her measurements each month. Since then, her measurements have changed drastically. The changes put a smile on her face and motivate her to continue on her journey. She will look great on her wedding day.

Now I want to give you a new challenge to track your progress by taking your measurements of certain areas of your body. Taking your measurements can help reassure you that your hard work is paying off.
Starting today, get a measuring tape. Measure each body part near the 15th day of the each month until December 15, 2011. Ensure that muscles are not flexed when you measure them (Preferably in inches and don't pull the tape too tight).

Measure around the/a:
1. Arm/Biceps: largest part of each arm above the elbow
2. Forearm: largest part of the arm below the elbow.
3. Neck: largest part of the neck.
4. Chest/Bust: center of your chest.
5. Waist: half-inch above your belly button.
6. Hips: biggest part of your hips
7. Thighs: largest center part of each thigh
8. Calves: largest center part of each calf

Congratulations Maria Isabel! Way to go and way to motivate the rest of us. You would always have looked beautiful for your wedding because you are a beautiful person. But now, you'll look hot!
