A couple of weeks ago, I attended a Good Form Running Seminar hosted by Luke's Locker. I learned a lot about my running form and the importance of the proper shoes. Are your shoes right for your feet? After exercising, do your feet, chins or calves hurt? Are your shoes old or worn out? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then it may be time for you to go to get evaluated and buy new shoes. Attend Luke's Locker upcoming Free Running Form Seminar to learn more on Monday, June 11@6PM. Contact 512-482-8676 to RSVP.
Last year, I bought Vomero Nike shoes to help train for my first marathon. They were great shoes but after a couple of months my feet would hurt. I continued to wear them. Bad idea! I started having ongoing chin splints and pain in my calves. My marathon trainer, Raul, asked me, "How many miles have you run on your shoes?" I said, "A lot...I am running between 25-40 miles a week. That's when I realized my shoes were worn out. They lost cushion and shock abortion. That is why I was in pain while running. So I went to Luke's Locker and I got evaluated to find the right shoe that works best for my running goals. My Nike Pegasuses helped my cross the finish line at my first marathon.
Please visit a running store soon to get evaluated. Check your foot shape, arch and bio mechanics. Learn how shoes absorb the impact of walking and running. The right shoes align your legs, hips and spine stabilization. They also keep you balanced and reduce injury. Change shoes every 300-500 miles or 6-9 months depending on your mileage. Please make your to check your foot wear. Visit a running store soon. I highly recommend Luke's Locker. Read more and watch the following evaluations: injury-free
