Team- Great job with your fit test this week! Your numbers improved drastically. I am very proud! I know it has been very hot but don’t let that stop you from working out. Find alternatives such as waking up early or work out later in the evening. Use those gym memberships or visit your park. Think about how great you will feel once you finish working out.
For the next few months continue to make goals. As you already know, I am officially registered to do my second marathon in Houston for 2013. Can’t wait! What is your next goal? Some team members have started training for their next 5K, 10K, half-marathon and triathlon. WOW! Next weekend White Lightning will be doing a 10K to celebrate her birthday. I will send more details next week to invite you to the walk/run. Keep those goals coming.
Once you set your goal how do you remain accountable? Keep a journal of your work out, make a calendar, invite a friend or treat yourself to something nice (i.e. massage) once you reach that goal. If you need any help developing a personalized calendar for that goal let me know. If you are having trouble making a goal: think about why you started your fitness journey, who inspires you and what motivates you? Dedicate your goal to someone. Complete the goal for not only you but also to the loved one you dedicated your goal to. Dedicate your goal to your parents, siblings, children, spouse, friends or in memory of someone dear. I started my journey in 2007, my mother’s worry led to me to setting small goals from losing 5lbs to over 55lbs to a 5K and soon my second marathon goal. I dedicate my goals to my family. I continue my journey so that I will continue to live a long healthy life for them. What is your goal and who do you dedicate it to? Don’t let them down.
Remember, when it comes to fitness. I want to see results…not excuses…it’s for your health!
